Hello everyone,
My name is Greg Nicholson. I a 22-year-old student of the University
of Massachusetts in Lowell. This blog post
is the first of more to come, as they will be required for the "Exploring
the Internet" course. I am taking
this course as part of my Criminal Justice program from which I will be
graduating this spring; in addition, I will be earning a second degree in Philosophy.
I consider myself a "Car Guy", I currently own two of the same
car, a Nissan 240sx, one from 1990 and another from 1992. While I have never
taken an automotive class of any kind, I do all my own car work. I started by
teaching myself the basics; oil changes and brake jobs, to simple part
replacements, and I have worked my way up to complete engine and transmission
swaps. This hobby has carried me into my
current job, I work as a parts specialist for PEPBOYS an Automotive parts and
service store.
The majority of my other hobbies are outdoors based activities; everything
from long boarding, hiking and kayaking, to fishing and four wheeling. I also
enjoy every kind of skiing: downhill snow, cross-country, and water skiing (wake
boarding too).
Most recently, I have started brewing my own Mead, or Honey wine. I have
three batches started and will be adding another soon. Patients are crucial in
the mead making process, as each batch will take a minimum of three - six months
before it is drinkable. I am almost at the three month mark now, so pretty
soon, I'll be sampling some of my first batch!
